Brick cladding uses brick tiles or slips to renew or re-design the outside appearance of a home. They are becoming an increasingly popular choice amongst homeowners who want to renovate their exterior walls but do not like the idea of covering damaged bricks with a coloured render system.

Using a brick cladding system is a very attractive way of improving or restoring the external appearance of a property at a much lower cost than building a new brick skin around the house and also in a lot less time. By adding thermal mass to the wall brick slips can also boost insulation values and reduce heat loss by up to 25%.

Slips or tiles come in a range of colours, styles and materials including reclaimed bricks to give an olde worlde feel to a property. The two most common and effective systems are either a 15-25mm thick clay brick tile or a highly durable resin “brick” front.

They can transform a property’s appearance and can be used to cover whole walls, replace render or to add architectural features such as a brick plinth around the base or to highlight features such as a central gable section.
