These coatings are usually made of a resin, acrylic or silicon base and have the ability to repel water from the rain but allow the walls to breathe by letting internal moisture escape through them. Water resistant wall coatings have become increasingly popular in recent times as a replacement for cracking or blown renders such as stucco, pebbledash, spar dash and tyrolene. Here at Multiguard we only use the more durable renovation based wall coating systems that involve a build up of base coats and a top coloured coat that are all hand trowel applied by skilled craftsmen. We do not use the thinner, more decorative based spray coat paints and our range of finishes are all kitemarked systems with outstanding track records of performance over long time periods.
