We have recently restored an old stone cellar  to enable the client to store his wine, safe in the knowledge it will prosper in a suitable environment. The interesting difference with this cellar was that we built a new damp proof floor out of reclaimed period bricks and brick cladded the walls to half the cellar height.

The result was to keep the finished look in tune with the original style of the house and cellar whilst retaining the original stone and brick character. The addition of a humidistat and ventilation unit will ensure the wine is kept at optimum conditions in surroundings that are authentic and yet both damp and water free.
