Self Cleaning Render

Posted in self cleaning renders

Self cleaning render and stucco has received a lot of press interest recently due to a feature shown on TV by the Grand Designs programme. This has led to a large number of enquiries by homeowners keen to find out more and to know how they can arrange to have this “magical” coating applied to their walls.

The secret lies in the outer finishing coloured coat and in its seemingly unique ability to repel water and dirt. In simple terms the paint film is designed to resist the penetration of dirt and pollutants and also the absorption of water. This means that when it rains or water is sprayed on to the wall surface the water runs off the coating and lifts any dirt off the surface with it as it falls to the ground. The result is a nice clean looking wall, free of accumulated dirt.

There are a range of different types of finishing materials that are each suitable for particular property types so please CALL US on 01908 516366 or email us for more information on our range of self-cleaning exterior coating systems.

    Hi

I am interested in the use of self cleaning render paint on a property that I am currently having built.

What would be the best way forward. The property is to be rendered and part stone finish.

Do you have a brochure showing colours.

What is the aprox cost of a average sized 3 bed detached property

Hi Robert and thanks for your question.

An average 3 bed detached is generally around 120m2 of net wall area and depending upon the colour ( dark colours are more ) the costs are £7.50 per m2 approx. This is for 2 coats onto a medium density render ie not a heavy slurry dash finish.

I guess therefore you are looking at around £900 for the paint and it comes in around 400 colours.

    Hope this is helpful.

    Hi Robert

Sorry for delay but been away for a short break.

The self cleaning paint will cost around £7 per m2 and the self cleaning render will cost around £12 per m2.

These are based on a flat render.

The paint comes in 400 colours and the render in 70 colours including all the favourite creams, magnolias and stone colours etc.

    Hope this is useful.

    Mike
